I see there are alot of YM pro's over here...

I've been studying this instrument lately and wonder is it only the US economy data release affects the the YM?

what about other countries data? does it affect YM?

I know I need more screen time on this instrument...

from my observation liquidity usually starts around 9am EST that is the bid/ask difference is 1 tick

can someone share with me any resources to learn more about YM,it's characteristics/personality etc...

Although there are some effects. But you need not worry about it since vast majority of them don't overlap the US regular trading hours. Since Ym represents only 30 Dow stocks, you have be aware of any potential news that may have a serious impact on any of the more heavily-weighted component companies.

Checking an economic calendars like this one is a good start. Usually the items marked with a star will have some effect on the e-mini's.

From there you can track which regular reports seem to have an effect on the YM more than others.
