Re: Reviews of www.tradingrealization.bi z with Joel Pozen

I will have to agree with Agekay. Nothing against Joel but Walton with 2 posts is spamish. Please refrain from such posts because if this continues I am going to get another 100 members doing the same thing. Thanks

Re: Reviews of www.tradingrealization.bi z with Joel Pozen

Hi Mr Polite,

I don't suck up to anyone, wonder if you'd speak that way if I was standing in front of you ? If not, try not to do it here eh ?

I'm a new member, but I'm not spamming, just giving an honest reply to the thread, which I didn't start.

Joel neither asked me, or even knows I'm posting.

I found Joel's mentoring course enlightening, and his market calls were nearing 80%. But hey, that's my experience, and others in the mentoring group said they were very happy too.

I've been a tradeguider customer since 2003 and use VSA principals in trading. I found Joel's course a practical application of Tom Williams and Richard Ney's principals which was fascinating, highly accurate and enjoyable.

Having said all that, you do need to apply yourself and study the markets.

There's no 'magic indicator', and I don't think Joel would say there was.

Sometimes you have to go around the block a few times to 'get it'...at least I did.

And I don't think we'd all be world class golfers even if we had Tiger Woods mentoring us, and without practice, think you'd benefit at all ?

Same with trading.

Bottomline, you have to take total responsibility for your success.

Joel will help you be the best you can be, for sure.

But ultimately, only you can make it happen.

Walton,
Your points regarding self responsibility , desire to develop skills etc are very much relevant to trading, that is accepted. If you benefited from the mentoring to address some of the
psychological issues that is fine. Blowfish here (ex-mentee) has admitted that as well.
However from the public webinars you mentor trumpets expertise in price/vol reading, but in reality there is no realtime trading with either realmoney or a simulation platform and moreover the charts are packed with maths. based indicators such as moving averages and a few CCI, concede that these are useful tools if used correctly, but how does that constitute pure price/vol trading, even the VSA tradeguider folks, Tom do not apply any of these maths. based derivatives, and focus only on the close, the range of the bar and vol. Richard ney never did so why make claims the public which are inconsistent with those demonstrated during the mentoring classes.

Yes,

There was no trading with real money, or a simulation platform.

Just live market calls, reading the bars.

He had indicators on his charts but each to his own.

I won't post anymore on this thread because of the request from Soultrader.

I'll be more than happy to continue anywhere else.

Best,

walton

ps. I'm not a spammer, just a newbie to this forum. Walton is my real name.

Admire your loyalty, obviously you have benefited and hopefully trading consistently and with success, wish you all the best.
But at last we have clear response about whether or not there is realtime trading taking place with realmoney or not (not even with a simulator) only calls, and all that a cost of $5000.

I am sure you will the first to appreciate that in this instance the analogy with Tiger Woods is fundamentally flowed, for Tiger has demonstrated his skills to the world via his achievements.

I don't know if Joel now trades with real money or a simulator during the mentoring.

I spent time with Joel back in 2004.

All the best,

walton

Re: Reviews of www.tradingrealization.bi z with Joel Pozen

I will say a couple things here...

1) There is an excellent point brought up about the website. You typically see sites designed with luxurious items to infer great wealth by working with the site. The site design immediately turned me off.

2) I had sent Joel a PM asking about his live trading class and while I have been unable to attend, I am getting PM's from him that are a bit unprofessional in my opinion... I thought it was interesting to view the presentation, but attending the webinar has not been on my priority list but from the pm's (multiple) that I am receiving from Joel, I have to wonder how quickly he was hoping to cash in on the TL connection.

Re: Reviews of www.tradingrealization.bi z with Joel Pozen

Around the same time as Walton apparently, I also was interested in Tradeguider. I took them up on their offer to watch someone trade it in real time. The trader was Pozen. I was turned off because he did not deliver on the TG's promise to watch it "traded live."

JP showed me that day's chart and the signals TG had given, then commented "I probably would have entered here and exited at this signal and made [X # of pts.]" Then he offered his mentorship for $5K. Big-time turn-off. I did not purchase TG.

However, but my studies since then have shown me the merit of the system and I have read Tom Williams "Master the Markets." The TG system does appear to be a good teaching tool, but you have to also pay for an esignal datafeed in addition to a pretty hefty fee.

I would suggest to agekay to first try TG or at least read the book. Then if it makes sense to you and/or you just need encouragement of watching it traded, drop your dimes (50,000 of them) for Pozen.

Or, if you both have Yahoo messenger Walton might make his calls using the same method for much smaller fee.

Re: Reviews of www.tradingrealization.bi z with Joel Pozen

I know I posted to this thread earlier stating that I decided to be mentored by Joel, however I choose not to do that after all, and went with someone else. Just wanted to update about that.
