Was just typing a whole review of yesterday when I accidently closed this windows
Going to summarize it now:
Price was moving very slowly all day, and there was only one real 'move' to be observed, which was up for the greater part of the day.
I've noticed how trending days are often followed by more choppy or ranging days. It obviously makes a difference what you do in these kind of days because in trending days price is moving along smoother and it...

For me the plan is to watch more and trade less, now that I'm trying to come to terms with trading off buying & selling pressure and not bars or candles anymore.
So I payed close attention for a while before the open and looked at the NQ (although I trade the ES), I wanted to see what happened near those levels you've marked.
I noted a strong reaction of 1781 that pushed price lower a couple of points. This happened at about 15 minutes before the open. I'm looking at...

Guess what. The market has moved down 40 points in less than 30 minutes.
Had the plan, had the entry nailed, but didn't take the trade.
Lesson learnt: the market won't wait for you.
I sat and watched and didn't jump on the train. It was a tough exercise, especially...

Today will be remembered as a day I took three shorts and all got blown away. I think I've completely lost sense of direction. It seems that going with the longer term trend (=> shorting!) has not only cost me money, but isn't necessarily a good thing to do!
Whatever happened to selling resistance in a bear market?

Each day that I thought I had a bit of understanding of the market, something like this comes long and I'm clueless. After all these years of reading VSA and studying price charts, I have come to a point where I need to decide if I want to continue doing this. I haven't lost much money, but more importantly I haven't quite gained any neither. Some people would say I've been wasting time.
This is today's trade.
