I hope someday these firms will let traders work from their own locations, telecommute or something. After all it's electronic trading, not floor trading at exchanges. I would be interested just to see what the other side is like but unfortunately, relocation is out of the question.

Actually, this is a great topic for the interest of others. James, you should add a section for recruiting or employment of this kind. I'm not saying anyone can post soliciting employment, but something like you just mentioned, a contact or a referral, etc.
